On June 21st, Nippon and the School of Chemical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology signed an industry-university-research cooperation agreement at Nippon's headquarters in China, marking a solid step forward in technical exchanges and scientific research cooperation between the two parties. The cooperation will focus on cutting-edge fields such as green building, low-carbon materials, and environmentally friendly coatings, aiming to promote the innovative application of chemical materials and the cultivation of high-quality chemical talents between Nippon and the School of Chemical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology through sharing resources and joint research and development. Dr. Yongyue Cai, President of TU Product Technology Center of Nippon China, Yi Bo, Vice President of Purchasing Headquarters of Nippon China, Changhui Chen, Vice President of Quality Assurance Center of Nippon China, as well as Prof. Wenzhen Zhang, Secretary of Party Committee of the School of Chemical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology, and Xia Wu, Deputy Director of the Department of Domestic Cooperation and Liaison of Dalian University of Technology, and other experts and scholars attended the ceremony.

Dalian University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a key university under the “985 Project” and “211 Project”, and a world-class university. The scientific research and talent cultivation of the School of Chemical Engineering under the Ministry of Education has expanded from the traditional advantageous fields of chemical industry to the emerging high-tech fields such as intelligent materials, advanced energy, security engineering, biomedicine, etc., which is the highland of scientific research in the field of chemical industry and the cradle of high-quality top-notch innovative talents cultivation. In April this year, when Lippon Liaoning Dengta plant was put into operation, Lippon discussed with Dengta Municipal People's Government and the School of Chemical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology on the cooperation between industry, academia and research.

During the technical exchange session, Nippon introduced its business segments in the construction and industrial fields, as well as its current R&D direction in products and technologies, especially green and low-carbon construction materials, innovative coating technologies and sustainable solutions. The School of Chemical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology also introduced relevant research topics, covering the development of new coating materials and the exploration of sustainable chemical technologies. This in-depth exchange has enhanced mutual understanding between the two sides and built a bridge for future cooperation between industry, academia and research.

In recent years, the state has emphasized “strengthening the deep integration of enterprise-led industry, academia and research, and improving the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements”.
